Exciting Changes in CDO

You may have noticed new faces in the Career Development Office this week.

195c022[1]Kenny Tatum has replaced Susan Wilson as the new head of the CDO.  Mr. Tatum was most recently Assistant Dean of Career and Professional Development at Indiana University School of Law.  He also worked in legal career services at Penn State Law School and in the recruiting department of the Womble Carlyle law firm.  Mr. Tatum received his J.D. from the University of Illinois and his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College.

1f98ecf[1]Tony Waller has also joined the CDO as an associate director specializing in public sector careers.  Mr. Waller is actually rejoining Georgia Law, having served here as a career counselor from 2000-2006.   Since that time, he has served as Assistant Dean of career services at the University of Illinois, and most recently as CEO of the nonprofit Children First, Inc.  Mr. Waller is a Double Dawg and received his law degree here in 1993.

The CDO is fortunate to have the expertise and leadership of Mr. Tatum, as well as Mr. Waller’s experience working in public interest.  Please stop by and meet them both.

Ms. Wilson, who practiced corporate and M&A law at Alston & Bird for 25 years, has managed the CDO since April 2014.  She will be staying on at Georgia Law as an adjunct professor.
